HiSCS team performed hydraulic jacking and replacement of two PTFE sliding elastomeric bearings. A jacking force of approximately 1900 tons was required in total, which was obtained by eight 250 tons capacity hydraulic jacks. Non-replaceable exposed metal parts were repainted, to prevent corrosion, and the existing sliding surfaces were maintained. The project took place over an old and abandoned railway line at highway box girder bridge, in Greece.
